Kelly produces strategic, customized proposals and reports for major donors whose grants and gifts fund SELC’s environmental advocacy work. She translates complex legal issues into compelling, reader-friendly prose. Her strategies and solutions draw from deep donor and relationship research and her experience in development.
“SELC has an incredible mission, and it’s wonderful to carry it out alongside such kind, thoughtful colleagues every day,” Kelly said.
Kelly lives in Richmond now, but she grew up in Blue Point, New York and Melbourne, Florida. “I’ve spent most of my life living within 30 minutes of the Atlantic Ocean, so I find our coastal work vitally important,” she said. The Black Mountains in western North Carolina are particularly meaningful to her because she got married on the banks of the Cane River near Burnsville, North Carolina.
