Office:

Atlanta, GA

Jennifer Whitfield

Senior Attorney

Jennifer’s skills ensure that Georgia is transitioning to clean energy quickly and equitably.  She also works to protect air quality and fights alongside communities that are disproportionally impacted by environmental harms.

I am passionate about fighting for social justice, and it’s a privilege to apply the skills I’ve learned as a lawyer to join the fight for environmental justice and environmental protection.

Senior Attorney Jennifer Whitfield

“I have spent my career fighting for justice in varied ways, and this chapter of my career is about broadening that work, to protect communities that are bearing disproportionate burdens from Georgia’s thriving economy and to protect our air, water and land so that my children’s children have safe and wild lands to explore.”

Protecting the south is important to her personally. As a child growing up in Atlanta, Jennifer spent summers in the mountains of North Carolina, hiking and tubing down rivers, and her favorite activity is “hiking through the mountain laurel and rhododendron forests with my family and discovering waterfalls in the Nantahala National Forest.”
