Emily Driscoll

Senior Communications Manager

As a Senior Communications Manager in SELC’s Atlanta office, Emily draws from her journalism experience and Georgia roots. Writing for various news outlets as a freelance reporter, Emily honed her skills distilling complex education, career, and personal finance issues. The daughter of an environmental engineer, she grew up learning about the consequences of human action and resulting impacts on nature, which has only further fueled her dedication in working for a cleaner, more equitable energy future and healthier waterways.

A lifelong visitor to the Georgia coast, Emily appreciates that her current work aims to protect this uniquely preserved region from threats like offshore drilling and careless development. But her favorite Georgia spot is tucked up in the Northeast corner along the borders of South and North Carolina. Woodall Shoals on the Chattooga River has long been a special place to hike, swim, and run the whitewater rapids nearby.

I’m proud and so fortunate to get to do this incredibly meaningful work to protect my home state of Georgia and the people who love the South just as much as I do, every single day.
