Office:

Atlanta, GA

Bailey Shea

Legal/Administrative Assistant

Bailey supports the Clean Energy and Air team in Georgia on projects related to electric utility regulatory advocacy, litigation, and legislative advocacy. She directly supports the SELC Solar Initiative by preparing filings for regulatory proceedings and state courts, synthesizing energy data to create SELC advocacy materials, and contributing to related writing projects.

“I’m proud to work for an organization that consistently stands up to bad actors, even when they’re powerful and pervasive presences,” Bailey said. “I admire our commitment to fighting for a clean energy future for Southerners. Our commitment to pushing from all angles, at all levels, in all three branches of government, demonstrates creative strategy that I am proud to be a part of.”

Bailey came to SELC well versed in Georgia’s clean energy policy landscape. She previously worked as a policy coordinator at a partner nonprofit organization where she tracked regulatory and legislative issues and coordinated clean energy planning efforts in Georgia local governments.

A special spot for Bailey can be found in Cloudland Canyon in northwest Georgia. “There is a giant boulder at Hemlock Falls that has been pummeled into a smooth giant floating orb,” she said. “It feels like it was dropped down from space in the night, and at the same time it reminds me how ancient the Appalachian Mountains are. I could stare at it for hours.”
