Anna Young

Office Manager

Anna works alongside SELC’s legal assistants and administrative staff in Charlottesville to ensure excellent support for the mission of SELC. She enjoys being one of the first points of contact for new employees during their orientation and aims to be a welcoming presence for them. She is also involved in facilities management, budgeting, and safety measures for the offices. Anna is inspired by SELC’s mission and one of her proudest moments for the organization was the defeat of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and, prior to the final defeat, the rejection of Union Hill as a location for a compressor station — a victory for environmental justice.

Anna grew up in Arlington, Va., and never left the Charlottesville area after graduating from UVa. She currently lives in Crozet at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Charleston, S.C., is one of her favorite places to visit.
