Senior Attorney

Christina works on energy and air issues in the state of Alabama, including working on increasing access to solar and stopping coal ash pollution. She also works on regional gas issues, which include opposing unnecessary gas projects and advocating for clean energy solutions.

“I work for SELC to protect and better the environment and communities in my home state and throughout our region,” says Christina, who is from Tuscaloosa.

I also work for SELC to do what I can to address climate change and ensure a healthy, thriving Southeast for my child and future generations.

Christina prepared for SELC during law school by clerking for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance; the Environmental Law Institute; and the Environmental Integrity Project. 

At SELC, Christina is most excited by “our efforts to tackle climate change, whether that’s addressing the cause by curbing carbon emissions or mitigating the impacts.” 

The region’s natural diversity is so precious to Christina that no one location is her favorite. “I cannot choose between the beach and the mountains,” she says. “I enjoy relaxing on the Alabama Gulf coast, but I also enjoy spending time hiking and exploring the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee, which is a fairly short drive from Birmingham.”
